ASSET Examinations
Classes III, V and VIII
Dear Parents,
Greetings from Birla High School – Mukundapur!
This is to inform you about the upcoming ASSET (Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing) examinations that your wards in Classes III, V, and VIII will be participating in during this month.
The ASSET examinations are skill based and diagnostic assessments that measure students’ conceptual understanding of core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science. These assessments provide the students with opportunities to challenge themselves and develop their skills. These are stress free and require no prior preparation.
We are pleased to inform you that the entire cost of the ASSET examinations is being borne by the school authorities.
Participation in these tests is compulsory for all students of Classes III, V and VIII.
The ASSET examinations will be conducted within school hours and pupils will be provided with the question papers and answer scripts. The schedule for the same is as follows:
English -- Monday, 8th January 2024
Maths -- Monday, 15th January 2024
Science -- Thursday, 25th January 2024

Dear Parents,
We are hosting our Second Inter-School Cultural and Innovation Fest, Kaleidoscope 2023 on Thursday, 18.01.24 and Friday, 19.01.24.
Kaleidoscope 2023,will provide a platform for the students of Classes VI to IX to nurture their potential resulting in the confluence of art and innovation.
The attendance of the following students is mandatory.
· All the participants
· Class Representatives of classes VI-IX
· Student Council Members of classes VIII- IX
Transport service will be available and the reporting and dispersal time forabove-mentioned students will be normal school timing.
Please note that classes will remain suspended on the above- mentioned dates for all the students of classes Nursery-V and the non-participants of classes VI-X,to enable the students and teachers to participate in all the activities.
Please note that in lieu of the above-mentioned dates, we are going to have regular school on Saturday, 20.1.24 and Saturday, 27.1.24.
Transport service will be available on the above mentioned Saturdays.

We will be celebrating the Founder's Day of our school on Saturday, 16th December 2023. Like each year, we are hosting SPELLYMPIC 2023, an Inter-School Spelling and Word Building Competition. Please find attached the Invitation Card for the event.

Classes IV & V
Dear Parents,
Birla High School – Mukundapur will be hosting the fifth edition of ‘SPELLYMPIC 2023’, our Inter-School Spelling and Word Building Contest on Saturday, 16th December 2023 in the school’s auditorium, Saarang to commemorate the birth anniversary of our founder, Shri S.K. Birla.
Students of Classes IV & V are to report to school at 10:00 a.m. sharp and will be dispersed at 1:00 p.m.
Important:
· Attendance for students of Classes IV & V is mandatory.
· Students should be in their school uniform.
· They must bring their tiffin and water bottle.
· Transport service will be available.
· Please carry your ward’s ID card for smooth dispersal.

Pet Day
Dear Parents,
We will be celebrating ‘Pet Day’ in school on Monday, 18.12.23. As per your confirmation to your ward’s Class teacher, you are requested to bring your pet to school on the date mentioned above. Please note that only one pet can be brought to school per person. The pet must be accompanied by a pet parent. Please be on the premise with your pet at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Please carry food or water for your pet if required.

As your ward graduates from Class V, he/she has the option to choose the third language for Class VI. The student has to choose from the subjects appended below: -

The language selected in Class VI is to be continued as the third language till Class VIII.

Parent Teacher Meeting
Nursery to Class X
Dear Parents
Please be informed that Parent -Teacher Meeting for Nursery to Class X is scheduled on Saturday, 9th December 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Please make it convenient to attend the PTM on the above-mentioned date and at the stipulated time as mentioned by your ward’s respective Class Teacher. The student will accompany his/her parent in school uniform at the stipulated time. Attendance for students is mandatory.
We request you to utilize this opportunity and have a crisp and short meeting with the teachers to interact about the academic performance of your child. In order to facilitate all parents to get an opportunity to interact with teachers, you are kindly requested to refrain from exceeding the time limit of 5 minutes given to you.
Kindly visit the Book Fairs which have been organized on the same day in Compounds I and II and also an Exhibition in the Prayer Hall showcasing the work of your ward’s relentless efforts.
