Birla High School – Mukundapur’s auditorium resonated with patriotism as students of Classes IV A and IV B presented a powerful Special Assembly on Kargil Vijay Diwas, aligned with SDG Goal 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. The programme opened with an emotional act of a soldier bidding farewell to his son, setting the tone for heartfelt tributes that followed. Through skits, poems, dances and songs like Vande Mataram, students portrayed the courage and sacrifice of India’s armed forces and honoured heroes such as Captain Vikram Batra and Lieutenant Manoj Pandey. The performances highlighted unity in diversity, showcasing how soldiers from varied backgrounds fought for one shared purpose—the nation’s safety. The assembly concluded with a moving scene of the soldier’s son realising the true meaning of patriotism, leaving the audience deeply moved. The event served as a heartfelt reminder of gratitude, courage and responsibility toward the nation.
